Huey Long done it Louisana, so you can do it here in West Bye G-- VA, I sure would vote for you. Read the King Fish, ( Huey Longs Story ) or The Book of Speaches, by Ugene DEBBS. "Debbs" and "Long" were both like you, they didn't give a damn to tell it like it is. Long was the Governor of Louisana, two terms and a US senator. No money, just a so called stump jumper, the people loved him, Corporate America AKA, wall street, hated him.

Debbs ran for president from a prison cell, first and only man to ever do that and got several million votes.

Both of them had "People Power", money makes no differance, when you have" People Power" and you got it. SO RUN FOR OFFICE, OF YOUR CHOICE, USINS OUT HERE WILL SUPPORT YOU.

Grassroots can do it for you if you will take the led. I will contribute the limit for you.

This is our State and Country, with your knowledge, common sence, and speaking ability, I know you can win. I SAY GO FOR GOVERNOR, IN THE NEXT ELECTION. all that can happen is that you may lose, but I don't think so. At the least you can wake a hell of alot of people up.

A long time ago, I told Danny Jones, on his talk show, that West Virginia could take two different roads on the gambling route to political nirvana. We could go the way of Mississippi or Louisiana. If you travel I-10, as I have, you will notice that the billboards in Mississippi direct tourists to multi million dollar casinos, employing thousands of Mississippi residents making good wages and benefits, in Biloxi and Gulfport. In these casinos, headline entertainers croon to affluent out of staters, who gamble with their DISPOSABLE income thereby leaving a substantial portion of such to enrich the local economy. In Louisiana, however, billboards direct you to smarmy little one armed banditries that employ a very few people at minimum wages and no benefits and induce local residents to gamble with their kids milk money. The vast majority of the proceeds enrich the owners of these establishments, many of whom are not even citizens of Louisiana! The out of state owners leave Louisiana with LESS wealth that it had before the gambling houses here built. To say the least, Adam Smith would frown upon the legislature of Louisiana, in that he postulated an economic system that encouraged the flow of wealth INTO an economy, hence the name of his book, "The WEALTH Of Nations". Sadly, our great state has chosen the Louisiana model. Let's face it, illegitimate businessmen give out more in political donations than legitimate ones do. (Just ask Don Blankenship!)

Obviously you haven't read much of this blog. I'd suggest you going back and reading some of the other posts. The facts to support the name "Chicago Furlip" are quite appropriate. The idiot is from Chicago, he refers to that all the time (because he can't stop talking about himself, mainly - but anyone could figure that out in 2 seconds of listening to his accent), and he has a big, fat cheesy mustache. Hence, the name "Chicago Furlip" is more than fitting.

Though, I do love how you automatically assume I'm a liberal. As I said, you obviously haven't read many of my posts, because the democrats are squarely in the crosshairs as much as the republicans, and I've made it a point to stress that I think both parties are horribly corrupt and filled with incompetents.

By the way, do you see any problem with Chicago Furlip on the radio EVERYDAY FOR THREE HOURS referring to those who don't agree with him, as "nitwits," "morons," and "pinheads?"

Maybe you should call him and let him know you don't approve of "name calling."

I just don't understand why when liberals disagree with someone they feel the need to go immediately to the name-calling thing (e.g. Chicago Furlip). I hardly consider myself a conservative but I just think its childish ans stupid at stoop to name-calling. Its been my experience that people who stoop to these type of tactics have very little in the way of actual facts, so they attempt to bolster their arguement by throwing in personal insults and such

First, nice to see that there are bloggers who take even longer hiatuses than I do!

I just hope they use the next couple years to pass some meaningful legislation, and not just turn this into a democratic witch hunt for what's left of the current administration.

God, me too. After six years with no real oversight, investigations are certainly appropriate (personally, I wouldn't call it a witch hunt), but if the Democrats want to be successful in '08 and beyond, they had better accomplish some sort of positive agenda. During the campaign, they unequivocally said that they were not considering impeachment, so I think that's a good sign that they agree. Without even getting into the substance of whether impeachment is warranted, I just think it would be a terrible political strategy and a waste of time. It really isn't that long before the '08 primary, so they can't afford to waste time.
