This is just too good.
I don't have time for a big, normal sized entry about this topic (but one is in the works), but I'll just throw this one nugget out there, because, well, it's just too good, and you should be able to get the point in with a minimum of ranting.
According to recent reports, our very own Nowhere Man, Alan Mollohan, allegedly is funneling federal money to several non-profits in West Virginia. The allegation is, in short, that those non-profits then somehow funnel some of the cash back to him, in the form of campaign donations or in some sort of related business deals. It was all in the Wall Street Journal last Friday. I'll dissect all the details later, but this is just too good to pass up.
The supreme irony here is that one of them is The Institute for Scientific Research (ISR). The ISR was in the news back in the fall for the exorbitant salaries that were/are being paid to their top corporate officers. Look at that name: The Institute for Scientific Research. Do you think the employees at a whizbang, techie type place such as ISR, use email? I'd bet my meager paycheck they do. Hell, my mother has email, and she can barely figure out how to turn on the pc.
Yet, Mollohan is supposedly a big supporter and helps acquire federal grant funding for the ISR?
Alan Mollohan's Wikipedia entry states that he has the distinction of being the only member of Congress, without an email address.

Mr Bingmanch, Ron Carey, Former, President of The International Union was accused of the same charges. That is right after he told Former Pres. Clinton, that he hurt every , man and woman in the US, when he signed the NAFTA bill.
Right after that they were on him like fly's on shit and he was replaced with the J. Hoffa Jr. ( as Paul Nyden, of The Chas. Gazette wrote a man connected to the Mafia ) But seeing as how Mr Nyden is friends with one of Hoffa's pet's, Ken Hall of Local 175 here in Chas. Nyden quit writing about Hoffa? Suck Ass Nyden.
So this Alan Mollohan, must be connected to a guardian angel (Politico), somewhere in high places? Why doesn't the Gazette expose some of these political, Robber Barons, like the former Ned Chilton and you are doing, they have the connections
to do it?
Only in West Virginia, folks, you are right because, the citizens of this state, either don't vote, could care less as long as they get their check, don't know or care who they are voting for, as long as they are a member of their party, Democrat or Republican?
Bull shit, I say we bring it on our selves, because the majority, sits at home and lets the minority control our state. The politicos knows how many votes out of every percent. It scares the hell out of them when there is a large turn out, every election day, the "in crowd" prays for rain!
Calling Mollohan the "nowhere man" is apt. I've lived in the northern panhandle for 10 years, and I believe our esteemed congresscritter has visited maybe three times. He's everywhere he can get a kickback, but nowhere the morons actually vote for him.
Get a People person in the State House. Jerry, now you can run for office, Mayor Or Governor.
Huey Long done it Louisana, so you can do it here in West Bye G-- VA, I sure would vote for you. Read the King Fish, ( Huey Longs Story ) or The Book of Speaches, by Ugene DEBBS. "Debbs" and "Long" were both like you, they didn't give a damn to tell it like it is. Long was the Governor of Louisana, two terms and a US senator. No money, just a so called stump jumper, the people loved him, Corporate America AKA, wall street, hated him.
Debbs ran for president from a prison cell, first and only man to ever do that and got several million votes.
Both of them had "People Power", money makes no differance, when you have" People Power" and you got it. SO RUN FOR OFFICE, OF YOUR CHOICE, USINS OUT HERE WILL SUPPORT YOU.
Grassroots can do it for you if you will take the led. I will contribute the limit for you.
This is our State and Country, with your knowledge, common sence, and speaking ability, I know you can win. I SAY GO FOR GOVERNOR, IN THE NEXT ELECTION. all that can happen is that you may lose, but I don't think so. At the least you can wake a hell of alot of people up.
